American Hospital Association Case Study |
Professional Social Network
How to make an association even more powerful with a community and information-centric Web property.
Background
American Hospital Association, (AHA), is the largest professional organization serving 10,000 hospitals and clinics nationwide, wanted a private, professional social network to enable their members and site visitors with rich information about healthcare issues, HIPAA compliance regulatory matters, as well as online learning and certification, facility management, and private and professional collaboration.
Objective
AHA needed a user-friendly and content-rich solution that addressed both industry and consumer markets. Data sharing, education, collaboration and search simple tools were paramount.
Outcome
Wyndstorm was selected to design and build this community portal for distributing healthcare and emergency response information to the public—as well as an internal private social network that enables healthcare professional user engagement. This comprehensive, end-to-end program integrated HIPAA compliance look-up features, online learning and certification programs, data sharing, as well as private patient care and history records. This social network supports over 100,000 professional users, as well as public access for information exchange.
